Faculty This course teaches students perceptual drawing, including drawing technique, the study of form through the use of line, shape, light and shade, and pictorial composition. We will work with still life, landscape and the figure. Students are expected to develop a portfolio of work outside of the formal class meetings. We will work in a variety of drawing mediums such as pencil, charcoal, conte, pen and ink, and pastels. Intended for freshmen and sophomores. Three hours per week plus extensive individual work in the studio. Four semester hours. Art materials fee. ( A.)
