This course examines chemical and physical aspects of oceans and estuaries as they relate to biological oceanography, specifically primary and secondary productivity, energy flow, and adaptations of marine organisms. Two field trips are taken to the Gulf Coast of Texas. Prerequisites: BIO 2450, 2410 or 2411 with a grade of ?C? or higher; GEO 3335.
