This course provides Biochemistry majors and minors with advanced knowledge of the field of molecular biochemistry. Topics include gene expression (transcription and translation of genes in bacteria and higher organisms), post-translational modification of proteins, chromosomal DNA replication, cell cycle checkpoint controls, DNA damage and repair, as well as theories of cancer and aging. Prerequisite: CHEM 3375.
