Prerequisites: MATH 10043, SOWO 30883 or permission of the instructor, and concurrent enrollment in SOWO 30893 and 40893. Examines research methods to help students understand how social workers conduct research and how they use and evaluate research findings. Applications to practice are made and focus is on evaluating practice and assessing the effectiveness of programs. Students are taught to do research and to be consumers of research.
