Prerequisites: BIOL 10504-10514, 30603; CHEM 30123 (or concurrent enrollment) or permission of instructor. Two hours of lecture and one laboratory period per week. A study of the molecular mechanisms of basic biological processes in eukaryotes with emphasis on gene regulation, the structure and function of macromolecules, cell growth and differentiation, mechanisms of diseases and applications in biotechnology.
