Presentation and discussion of the major classes of both prescription and over the counter drugs in terms of use, safety, drug-drug, and drug-food interactions with emphasis on the role of the informed consumer. Students will be provided with the necessary tools to safely and intelligently evaluate drugs and to make an informed choice regarding their use.
