Builds on the foundation provided by CSC 1750 to provide students with immersion in programming experience and associated techniques, with a focus on the object oriented paradigm. Topics include control flow, debugging and testing, string processing, searching and sorting, recursion, and stacks and linked lists. Emphasis on effective software engineering practices, including incremental development, systematic testing, and hypothesis driven debugging of software artifacts. Credit, 3 semester hours. PREREQ: MAT 1090 or MAT 1070 & MAT 1080 and C or better in CSC 1750 and CSC 1760.
