Presents modern techniques, methods, materials, and assessment practices in the teaching of mathematics. Directed observation in middle or high school mathematics classes. Laboratory work provides experience in developing lesson plans that utilize materials and methods appropriate for classroom use. NOTE: This course should precede teaching internship by no more than one academic year. Credit, 3 semester hours. PREREQ: MAT 2500.
