Offerings Capstone research seminar, stressing analysis of primary sources and advanced, integrative historical understanding. Examines the remaking of American society in the period 1958?1974. Students will read core texts and then complete an original research project on topics such as the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam conflict, the women's movement, the Cold War, the war on poverty, the rise of ethnic consciousness, or popular music. Projects will generally be presented in the form of a term paper. Attributes: Upper-Division Restrictions: Freshman, Sophomore students are excluded.
