This course presents fundamental concepts of contract law, with emphasis on the paralegal's role. Topics include formation, performance, and enforcement of contracts under the common law; the Uniform Commercial Code; and the Texas Business and Commerce Code. Students define and properly use terminology relating to contract law; locate, describe, and analyze sources of law relating to contract law; describe the role and ethical obligations of the paralegal relating to contract law; and draft documents commonly used in contract law.
