This is an introduction to selected concepts related to the role of the associate degree nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of the profession. It reviews trends and issues impacting nursing and health care today and in the future. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Prerequisites: BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2420 or BIOL 2421, ENGL 1301, MATH 1314 or MATH 1333, PSYC 230, PSYC 2314, and PHED (Prerequisite: for paramedic to RN includes RNSG 1413).
