(Formerly RADT 1401) This course includes the historical development of radiography, basic radiation protection, an introduction to medical terminology, ethical and legal issues for health care professionals, an orientation to the program and to the health care system, patient assessment, infection control procedures, communication and patient interaction skills, and basic pharmacology. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the medical imaging technology/radiography program. Co-requisite: RADR 1260. (3:3-0)
