(Formerly VOCN 2331) This course focuses on utilization of the nursing process in the assessment and management of the childbearing family. Emphasis on the bio-psycho-socio-cultural needs of the family during the phases of pregnancy, childbirth, and the neonatal period, including abnormal conditions. Prerequisite: Reading level 7, Math level 7, Writing level 7, and completion of the second semester of VNSG courses. Co-requisites: Concurrent enrollment in VNSG 1234 and VNSG 2261. Hours: Thirty-two lecture hours and sixteen lab hours. (2:2-1)
