(Formerly Criminal Justice 131, Law Enforcement 131, CRIJ 1311) This course introduces the history and philosophy of criminal justice and ethical considerations, as well as definitions of crime and its nature and impact, an overview of the criminal justice system, law enforcement, the court system, prosecution and defense, the trial process, and corrections.
