(Formerly DRFT 2318, DRFT 2367) This is a work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the College and the employer. A basic, intermediate, or advanced type of non-health professions work-based instruction that helps students synthesize new knowledge, apply previous knowledge, or gain experience managing the workflow. Practical experience is simultaneously related to theory. Direct supervision is provided by a faculty member or work supervisor. An internship may be a paid or unpaid learning experience. Prerequisites: 16 hours of engineering design graphics courses (eight of these credits must be earned at San Jacinto College). The job description for the worksite must relate to the general curriculum of the engineering design graphics department. (3:0-18)
