(Formerly COSM 1421, COSM 1511) This is an introduction to the theory and practice of hair cutting. Topics include terminology, implements, sectioning and finishing techniques. Prerequisites and corequisites: Reading level 4, CSME 1501, CSME 1354, and courses taken in level sequence order or department chair approval. 112 contact hours per semester. Students may not receive credit for CSME 1310 if they have previously earned credit for COSM 1421 or COSM 1511. (3:1-6)
