(Formerly COSM 1324) In this course, students continue their study of the concepts and principles of nail technology. Topics include advanced instruction in anatomy, physiology, theory, and related skills of nail technology. Emphasis will be directed toward application of artificial nails, including the study of the equipment, implements, and supplies for application of cosmetic fingernails. Other topics include sanitation, safety measures, hazardous chemicals, and MSDS information data. Prerequisites and co-requisites: Reading level 4 and courses taken in level sequence order or department chair approval. 176 contact hours per semester. Students may not receive credit for CSME 1541 if they have previously earned credit for COSM 1324. (5:3-8)
