Detailed study of a typical cell, cell phenomena, mitosis, meiosis, nucleic acids, protein synthesis, basic principles of genetics. The major animal phyla and the vertebrate organ systems are surveyed, with representative examples studied in laboratory. Credit 4 semester hours. Lab fee $16.
