(0-3) 1 hour The course includes instruction in the proper use of equipment, safety, physiology and open water diving. Drills are performed under water as to how divers can work together in assisting one another in dangerous situations. Students completing course requirements will receive certification. Special fee may be required. Lab fee required. (SCANS 5, 9, 10) Prerequisite: PHED 1147 or consent of the instructor.
