1 hour Emphasizes basic skills and techniques of American karate. Students will learn vulnerable areas of the human body and be instructed in defensive and offensive techniques to protect oneself. Students will work in small groups and partner situations in which personal qualities will be a secondary benefi t of this class. Lab fee required. (SCANS 9, 10) Prerequisite: None.
