(2-0) 2 hours Study of the importance of professional growth. Topics include the role of the licensed vocational nurse in the multidisciplinary health care team, professional organizations, and continuing education. The student will describe the role of the licensed vocational nurse in multidisciplinary settings inclusive of basic principles of leadership and management; discuss the role of professional organizations and regulatory agencies, and identify criteria and appropriate resources for continuing education. (SCANS 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11) Prerequisites: VNSG 1327, VNSG 1260, VNSG 1505, VNSG 1500, and VNSG 1502.
