(3-0) 3 hours A developmental course for students with weak preparation in fundamental mathematics and who are deficient in math, English and/or reading. Presents basic arithmetic operations (whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and signed numbers), percents and proportions, metric and American systems of units, geometric measurements, and statistical graphs. MATH 0370 must be passed with a "C" or better in order to progressto next appropriate course. Credit is not transferable. This course does not satisfy requirements for any degree plan at Odessa College. Placement testing is available. Attendance is mandatory for THEA liable students. Lab fee required. (SCANS 3, 8, 9) Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. Corequisite: 14 hours in the Math Academic Resource Lab.
