(2-7) 4 hours An introduction to the basic principals of diesel engines and systems. Students will learn principles and nomenclatures of diesel engines. Reading and interpreting service manuals and decisions regarding service and repair will be required. Student will use current technologies to diagnose and repair various diesel engines. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 6, 8, 9, 11) Prerequisite: Consent of department chair or instructor. Corequisite: DEMR 1449.
