(2-7) 4 hours An advanced study of the theory and operations of various types of pumps and compressors. Topics include mechanical power transmission systems including gears, v-belts, and chain drives. To become qualifi ed, the participants will successfully perform key tasks selected from topics presented in the course. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) Prerequisite: Consent of department chair or instructor.
