3 hours Topics covered will include sets, logic, number systems, relations and applications, concepts of mathematics and problem solving. The student will learn to select appropriate mathematical techniques and technologies and use these skills in problem solving. Students will develop and/or discover mathematical relationships. This course is designed primarily for liberal arts and education majors. (SCANS 3, 8, 9, 11) Prerequisite: MATH 0375 or high school Algebra II or passing score on THEA math section.
