4 hours General principles of fi re apparatus, pump operations, fi re streams and public operations as they relate to fundamental development of basic fi refi ghter skills. Students will identify the types of fi re apparatus; describe the operation of fi re pumps; demonstrate fire stream operations and fire pump operations; and explain the importance of public relations as a member of fire service. (SCANS 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) Prerequisite: Consent of department chair.
