(4-4) 5 hours Introduction to the level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Includes all the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other specialized services. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10) Prerequisites: 18 years of age and consent of department chair. Corequisites: EMSP 1160, EMSP 1355, EMSP 1356, and EMSP 2348.
