4 hours A study of shop safety, rules, basic shop tools, and test equipment. Student will be able to identify and use the proper tool, use human protective equipment and correctly use and dispose of hazardous materials. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) Prerequisite: Consent of department chair or instructor.
