4 hours Students will study Ohms Law, power law, principles of direct current, principles of alternating current, induction, capacitance, impedance, and other related electric principles. Performing under time restraints in the lab exercises students will improve reasoning and decision making abilities. A scientifi c calculator is required. Topics address electrical principles, semiconductor and integrated circuits, digital fundamentals, microcomputer systems, and electrical test equipment as applied to automotive technology. May be taught manufacturer specifi c. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) Prerequisite: AUMT 1407 and/or consent of department chair or instructor.
