HART 1403 - Air Conditioning Control Principles

4 hours A basic study of HVAC and refrigeration controls; troubleshooting of control components; emphasis on use of wiring diagrams to analyze high and low voltage circuits; a review of Ohm's law as applied to air conditioning controls and circuits. The student will test, repair, and/or replace motor starting and protection devices; test, repair, and/or replace electrical components; and read, draw, and interpret high and low voltage control circuits. Lab fee required. (SCANS 1, 3, 5, 8) Prerequisite: None. Corequisite: HART 1407.
