Analysis of literature, science and social studies readings. Skills include distinguishing between fact and opinion, understanding elements of style and structure, interpreting charts and graphs, and increasing comprehension. Test taking skills taught and practiced. Last in a series of courses for improvement of basic skills in reading. This course serves as preparation for the GED Reading Tests in Literature, Science and Social Studies, or as a refresher course for basic skills improvement. Student must have passed 2 or more GED tests. Prerequisite: ABE 034 or recommending score on placement test.
