An introduction to the fundamental behavior of matter and energy. This course serves the needs of non-science majors who are required to complete one or more physical science courses. It introduces basic concepts and key ideas that govern the principles of the natural world while providing opportunities for students to learn reasoning skills and a new way of thinking about their physical environment. Prerequisite: SAT MATH score of 480/ACT MATH score of 20, or two years of high school algebra, or permission of instructor.
