The study of the chemical basis for heredity and the resultant patterns are examined. Reproduction technologies, genetic engineering, biotechnology uses and implications of these technologies also are discussed. Prerequisites: SCIE 2053 General Biology I or SCIE 1103 Principles of Biology, a college-level math course, and SCIE 12143/1 College Chemistry II or instructor permission; concurrent enrollment in SCIE 3141 Genetics Lab.
