Topics include the art and culture of the Italian city-states, humanism, scholasticism, late medieval religion, Luther and Calvin's theological revolution and the splintering of the reform movement into rival groups, the foundations of the modern political thought, and the New World. Prerequisite: at least one college-level history course.
