Biblical Language] A study of the vocabulary and grammatical forms of biblical Hebrew. Special emphasis is given to acquiring an extensive vocabulary. The course is designed to prepare the student to do limited translation work in the Old Testament and to understand commentaries based on the Hebrew. Since the second term will include translation and exegesis of biblical passages it may be used to meet a 2/3000 Old Testament course in the Biblical Literature major or the Bible Elective in any of the ministry majors. The five credits in LANG 2115 may be used to meet the language arts requirements listed under General Education requirements.
