An exploration in the Hebrew Psalter which focuses on the various Psalm types and their interpretation. Interpretive techniques for treating poetic materials are developed and applied in the study of the Psalter. Attention is given to the history of the development of the Psalter and its use throughout the history of the Church in its devotional life. Prerequisites: BIBL 1103 OT History & Literature and BIBL 2553 Biblical Interpretation.
