Description: 3L Students ONLY PREREQUISITE: Administrative Law (7002) *In the event that applicants for this externship exceed the limited number of spaces available, preference will be given to those students who have also taken Environmental Law (7021) Students participating in this externship will serve as law clerks in the Southeastern Regional Counsel's office of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (located in Conshohocken). Attorneys in the Regional Counsel's office will supervise the student-externs. Each extern will be required to spend 12 hours per week at the Regional Counsel's office. The duties of the extern will include legal research and participation in investigation, permitting, and enforcement matters in various areas of state environmental law. Each extern will be required to meet periodically with the law school supervisor and to submit a written report, at the end of the semester, in which the extern will describe and evaluate the externship experience. Grading will be on a pass/fail basis. Their supervising attorneys will evaluate students; however, the final grade will be the responsibility of the law school professor.
