Introduces the theories and techniques involved in pulmonary function testing diagnostics with emphasis on blood gas theory and analysis, quality control, oximetry, and capnography. The student will perform and interpret basic and advanced pulmonary function testing; describe principles/concepts involved in blood gas analysis and quality control; and describe the application/troubleshooting of oximetry and capnography.
