Provides a course for music majors whose background is not sufficient for MUSI 1116 and 1311. Elementary basic notation, rhythmic practice, scale formation, key signatures, and knowledge of the piano keyboard are stressed. Required, if necessary, for music majors. Nonmusic majors may elect this course. A student may not receive credit for both MUSI 1301 and MUSI 1300. Semester Hours 3 (3 lec)
