Integrates and refines expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language (ASL), including recognition of sociolinguistic variation. A practice-oriented approach to language acquisition, including the use of multimedia. Review and application of conversational skills in American Sign Language; preparation for interpreting from signing to voice as well as from voice to signing. Introduction to American Sign Language literature and folklore. Prerequisite: SGNL 1402 Beginning ASL II with a grade of C or better or consent of the Program Director. Semester Hours 3 (3 lec)
