Description: This survey course is intended to meet the growing need for exploring issues in which nonhuman animals play a pivotal role in the shaping of statutes, regulations, and case law. In addition, it is a reflection of a burgeoning academic field, in which there is a growing body of scholarship. The intent is to focus primarily on domestic law, and there will be an animal rights component.
