Analysis, design and simulation of combinational and sequential systems using: classical Boolean algebra techniques, laboratory hardware experiments and computer simulation. Introduction to programmable logic devices (PLDs) and application-specific integrated circuits using software tools for the design and analysis of digital logic circuits and systems. Lab required. Prerequisite: COSC 1436 or consent of Instructor or Program Director. 4 credit hours.
