DANC 2146 - Modern Dance Technique IV

Advanced modern dance; continuation of DANC 2145, introducing more complex elements of classical and contemporary modern dance. Attention to improvisation, partnering and performing qualities. Continued focus on the integrated development of technique, perception, artistic expression, and aesthetic involvement. Students will be evaluated the first two weeks of the semester to insure proper level placement. Students may be asked to move to a more appropriate technique level during the evaluation period. Prerequisite: DANC 2145 or consent of Instructor. 1 credit hour. Note: Students may take DANC 1110, DANC 1111, DANC 1141, DANC 1142, DANC 1145, DANC 1146, DANC 1147, DANC 1148, DANC 1151, DANC 1152, DANC 2141, DANC 2142, DANC 2145, DANC 2146, DANC 2147, DANC 2148, DANC 2151, DANC 2152, and DANC 2301 for a combined total of no more than 18 credit hours.
