Continued studies in writing expository essays, focusing on topics in the life sciences and physical sciences. Emphasis on critical reading of published scientific research and appropriate use of peer-reviewed journals to support the writer s ideas. Expanding academic writing skills of pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing, and documenting. This course is an alternative to ENGL& 102 for the communication requirement. Prerequisite: A grade of "C"or better in ENGL& 101 (or ENGL 101). Formerly ENGL 113. Credit not allowed for both ENGL 113 and ENGL 109.
