Previously CHEM 110 Understanding the Chemistry Around You Presents the topics of chemistry in a relatively nonmathematical way and focuses on the social and environmental roles of chemistry. Course covers atomic and molecular structure, measurement, the periodic table, and acids and bases. The laboratory expands upon the course materials. Same as CHEM 100. Either CHEM& 105 (prev CHEM 110) or CHEM 100 may be taken for credit, not both.
