Previously COMM 120 Course examines the historical origins of cinema from 1880 to 1945, including the developments in film making from Europe, to Russia to Hollywood. Course looks at the different uses of and roles played by film including the use of movies as ideological tools. Prerequisite: ENGL& 101 (prev ENGL 101) and completion of any CMST Theory course.
