The study of the quantitative applications of chemical analysis as it applies to chemical equilibrium, acid/base chemistry, electrochemistry. It includes the theory and interpretation of UV-Visible, IR, NMR and mass spectroscopy. Spreadsheet application to problem solving and the use of computer-assisted statistical analysis of data and data presentation will be an integrated part of the course. Classical analysis techniques and modern seperation methods (GC and HPLC) are included as well.
