This mandatory course will focus on the understanding and application of a broad range of mechanical, electrical, lighting, acoustical, plumbing, HVAC, security and other building systems in the context of interior design. Students will be introduced to the nature and characteristics of fire detection, protection and suppression in building interiors. The critical role of interior building systems in establishing and maintaining the health, safety and welfare of users will be emphasized. Prerequisites: INTD-206 and INTD-202
