Conceptual approach and process for conducting patient assessment. Techniques for history taking, comprehensive techniques of physical examination with emphasis on competent decision making based on the evaluation, assessment of mental status and general scene survey. Special considerations for field assessment and assessment based management. In order for the course to be transcripted, the student must submit documentation of the following: (1) successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited Paramedic Program, (2) official notification of a passing score on the National Paramedics exam, and (3) an official Clark College Transcript documenting completion of a minimum of 30 hours of degree-relevant coursework.
