Description: Designed as introduction to modern methods used in current research in macroeconomic theory. Covers a broad range of macroeconomic models with emphasis on building upon microeconomic principles. Integrating macroeconomics with microeconomic foundations allows deeper insights into dynamic process of economic growth and business cycles, and the role of rational expectations in determining the impact of monetary and fiscal policy. Also introduces mathematical tools fundamental to analysis of dynamic economic models.
